One of the biggest contradictions is the lack of clear steps toward Ukraine's NATO membership, although the UK continues to support this process. However, experts believe that the signing of the agreement itself holds more significance than its specific points. For Ukraine, it is a signal that Western countries will continue their support, even with changes in American politics.
The agreement also represents a strategic move for the UK in the context of future economic and trade relations with Ukraine. Although Ukraine currently ranks only 67th among the UK's largest export markets, "if it survives as a state and is managed properly — and we must acknowledge that these are two serious 'ifs' — then it can thrive even after the war," notes the commentator.
