The first screening of Robert Eggers' film "Nosferatu" took place in New York, leaving the audience extremely satisfied.
At the beginning of Robert Eggers' "Nosferatu," there is a moment when Lily-Rose Depp, who previously portrayed a cunning pop star in the film "Idol," hints to the audience: "This will be unlike anything you have ever seen."
In the feature film "Nosferatu," the vampire played by Bill Skarsgård is obsessed with a woman named Ellen Hutter, portrayed by Lily-Rose Depp. Nicholas Hoult plays her husband Thomas, who is sent to Transylvania.
Among the other actors in "Nosferatu" are Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Willem Dafoe, and Ralph Ineson.
The film is a creative remake of "Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror" (1922) by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau.
The director of "Nosferatu" wanted to adapt Bram Stoker's novel "Dracula," but the studio did not have the rights. Murnau renamed the characters and rewrote the script. It seems that Robert Eggers has at least not disgraced the classic, as the reviews speak for themselves:
"Robert Eggers' 'Nosferatu' is a period delight, a fantastic horror story, exquisitely edited and impressively presented. It is historically accurate, with a strong English accent."
The film "Nosferatu" is set to be released on December 25, 2024.
