The Russian Federation is preparing to strike western regions of Ukraine with strategic weapons or may attempt to attack Kyiv.
This was stated by international relations expert Valeriy Chaly.
According to him, an enemy attack can be expected between December 10 and 19.
Chaly mentioned that on November 23, the Russians attempted to launch a second ballistic missile "Oreshnik" aimed at the Ukrainian capital, but the launch was unsuccessful.
The expert believes that potential targets for the strike could be the western regions of Ukraine, as the Kremlin seeks to demonstrate the range of weapons that can reach the EU.
"Now [editor's note: the target for the strike] could again be Kyiv, but more likely the area between Lviv and Uzhhorod, the Carpathians," Chaly thinks.
Chaly also expressed the opinion that "the demonstration of tactical nuclear warhead tests remains on the agenda."
"This is not an escalation of any situation, nor is it playing into Moscow's hands. It is a reality to demonstrate to Donald Trump and America, primarily Europe, their positions," the expert added.
