This was reported by a representative of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, Vladislav Voloshin, during a telethon.
The occupiers conduct up to a dozen assaults on the Dnieper daily, attempting to take control of the islands of Bolshoy, Belogrudyy, and Kazatsky. These territories are situated opposite Kherson, and their capture has allowed the enemy to approach the city and increase the threat to Ukrainian military positions on the right bank. The enemy actively uses watercraft, including boats, which are regularly destroyed by Ukrainian defenders. According to Voloshin, Ukrainian forces eliminate several units of equipment and repel attacks every day.
"The enemy is conducting intense assault operations, trying to capture specific lines," notes Voloshin. "The enemy actively employs drones, aviation, and various means of transportation such as buggies, ATVs, and motorcycles to quickly move their small assault groups."
In addition to attacks on military positions, the occupiers are shelling nearby settlements using missile strikes, kamikaze drones, and aviation.
Despite their numerical advantage, the Russians are facing significant challenges in their attempts to advance. The Ukrainian defense forces effectively control the island part of the combat confrontation line, preventing the occupiers from consolidating their positions. The enemy is conducting reconnaissance and search operations to identify the firepower of Ukrainian forces, clear defensive obstacles, and establish routes for further offensives.
