The situation in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation remains extremely challenging, as territories are constantly changing hands.

This was stated by Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman and political analyst Kirill Sazonov during a broadcast on the "Kiev24" channel. He emphasized that the front in this region does not have a continuous line, complicating the actions of Ukrainian defense forces.

"The situation in Kursk is very severe. Fighting is ongoing constantly, and if one closely monitors the events, one has to literally redraw the map every hour," noted the expert.

According to him, Ukrainian units are trying to maintain the initiative by employing maneuvers and flanking from different sides to disorient the enemy. Russian forces, for their part, have deployed a large number of personnel to the region, reportedly up to 50,000 soldiers.

Sazonov also cited a recent battle where Ukrainian troops successfully struck a Russian brigade using highly mobile artillery missile systems known as "HIMARS." He stated that this operation was a "very loud" victory for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Russians attempted to attack Ukrainian positions with armored vehicles, but our forces were able to halt the advance.

In the opinion of the military expert, the constant changes in the situation at the front require Ukrainian forces not only to respond quickly but also to have a clear strategy to maintain control over the territory.

"Every day there is a struggle for small patches of land, which, unfortunately, often fall into enemy hands," emphasized Sazonov.
