On Friday, December 13, Ukraine's energy facilities faced yet another massive strike from the enemy.
In Kyiv, emergency power outages were announced as a preventive measure, meaning without schedules or warnings.
As stated by the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Herman Halushchenko, the enemy continues to attack the energy sector of our country.
Hourly power outage schedules across Ukraine have been intensified to three rounds, meaning up to 50% of consumers may be cut off at the same time.
In "Ukrenergo," it was warned that due to the massive missile attack by the Russian Federation on Ukraine's energy facilities, the volume of measures to limit electricity consumption has increased on December 13.
"Energy workers are taking all necessary measures to minimize the negative consequences for the energy system. As soon as the security situation allows, the extent of the damage will be clarified," the statement said.
Due to the enemy attack, energy workers have intensified the power outage schedules in Ukrainian regions.
In the Ternopil region, 50% of consumers have been disconnected, while emergency power outages are in effect in Kyiv.
DTEK also reported the introduction of new schedules in Kyiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Odesa regions, where more hours without electricity are planned – in Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk up to 7 consecutive hours.
