While White House officials accused the media of spreading false information, claiming that no such order existed, the administration received numerous inquiries from lawmakers and state officials seeking clarification on how the decision would affect their regions.
It is worth noting that on January 28, the White House ordered a suspension of all federal grants, loans, and financial assistance programs. At the same time, the Trump administration urged federal agencies to review their programs to ensure they aligned with the president's policy aimed at reducing initiatives for diversity, inclusion, and clean energy.
