The United Kingdom is allocating a record £4.5 billion ($5.69 billion) in military aid to Ukraine in 2025. This was announced by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer during the plenary session "Support Ukraine."
The head of the British government stated that the world must strengthen Ukraine to ensure lasting peace, rather than a pause in the war. In his view, this can only be achieved by increasing military support for the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
And the United Kingdom is doing just that — providing £4.5 billion in military assistance. This is more than ever before. We are doing everything possible to train Ukrainian troops so that Ukraine can be further mobilized.
Starmer also emphasized the need to intensify economic pressure on the aggressor state. This is necessary so that the leader of the Kremlin regime, Vladimir Putin, is ready not just to talk but also to make concessions. Therefore, London is implementing the largest package of sanctions against Russia since the beginning of the full-scale war.
As reported by "Podrobnosti," Sweden plans to transfer air defense systems to Ukraine worth $113 million, while Canada will provide armored vehicles, munitions, and $5 billion in frozen Russian assets.
