Келлог переконаний, що Україна та росія готові до переговорів

The U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, stated that both sides of the conflict are on the brink of exhaustion and ready for peace negotiations. He made this announcement in an interview with Fox News.

Kellogg noted that the current situation on the battlefield indicates resource depletion for both Ukraine and Russia, creating conditions conducive to the initiation of dialogue.

“I am convinced that both sides are prepared. It resembles a prolonged fight where an arbiter is needed to halt the conflict. I believe Donald Trump could serve as such a mediator,” he asserted.

According to the special representative, Russia is employing a strategy reminiscent of World War II, particularly the tactics of mass attacks accompanied by significant losses.

“The Russians are acting according to a war of attrition pattern, deploying vast forces in an offensive, resulting in high casualties for both themselves and the Ukrainian side,” Kellogg added.

He provided data on substantial losses in the war: estimates suggest that Russia has lost around 350,000 to 400,000 military personnel, while Ukraine's losses are approximately 150,000. In his view, this moment is critical for both sides to "take a step back" and commence negotiations.

Kellogg also expressed confidence in Donald Trump's ability to act as an effective mediator in the settlement process, emphasizing his energy, strategic vision, and diplomatic skills.
