U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, assured that the United States stands firmly with Ukraine. He stated that any agreement with Russia must ensure that there will be no new war. This was reported by Kellogg, as cited by Sky News.
On the eve of this statement, Kellogg visited a military hospital in Irpin, near Kyiv, where he spoke with wounded Ukrainian soldiers. The U.S. special representative described his visit to the hospital as "emotional" on his X (Twitter) account.
This is why President Trump is absolutely correct about ending this war. The killings must stop.
According to Sky News, Kellogg's rhetoric sharply contrasted with statements made by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Russia's war against Ukraine.
One of the injured Ukrainian fighters asked Kellogg, "Can we trust Russia?" during the negotiations. Kellogg responded that "all wars end with negotiations, and ultimate victory on the battlefield is achieved through diplomacy, and today's world is no exception."
Can you trust the people who are with you and be sure that they are on your side? It's like asking a deeper question: are you with us? And the answer is: yes, we are with you.
Kellogg also stated that the goal of any peace agreement with Russia is to prevent a new war in the future.
