On the evening of January 11, the Russian army launched two airstrikes in the vicinity of a nursing home in the city of Sudzha, Kursk region, where more than 70 people reside. One woman has died.
This was reported by Oleksiy Dmytrashkivskyi, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Armed Forces command in Sudzha, during a national telethon "Unified News."
"Last night, Russian aviation carried out two airstrikes using guided bombs in the area of the nursing home. The explosions occurred 50 meters from the facility… Most of the residents in this nursing home are elderly individuals with disabilities.
As a result of the strike, one woman was injured. As of this morning, she has passed away. The remaining individuals are still at the nursing home. There are almost no windows or doors left. We are currently working to install at least some decent windows so that people can stay warm. The outdoor temperature is below freezing…
The city of Sudzha has been destroyed by 80%, and there are no intact infrastructure objects remaining. More than 250 houses have been demolished," Dmytrashkivskyi stated.
