U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to sign an agreement regarding minerals either this week or next.
This statement was made prior to his discussions with French President Emmanuel Macron at the White House, as reported by Reuters.
I will meet with President Zelensky. He may come this week or next to sign the minerals agreement, Trump stated.
Trump also mentioned that he would meet with Putin "at some point".
The U.S. President noted that he sees no issue with European troops being sent to Ukraine on a peacekeeping mission.
He also expressed hope that "Ukraine will be able to regain some of its land".
