Трамп запропонував бюрократам звільнитися в обмін на зарплату за 8 місяців

The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has proposed that federal employees resign in exchange for receiving their salaries through the end of September, amounting to eight months' pay. This was reported by NBC.

A letter containing this proposal was sent out on Tuesday, January 28. Bureaucrats have until February 6 to consider their options, as stated by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.

The statement also mentions that most federal agencies will be reducing staff as part of restructuring and reorganizing their operations.

The letter sent to federal employees includes a draft resignation letter for their review. Should an individual choose to resign, they can simply respond with the word "Resign."

All full-time federal employees are eligible to participate, except for military personnel, U.S. Postal Service employees, positions related to immigration control and national security, as well as other roles excluded by government agencies.

It is anticipated that 5-10% of the two million federal employees will agree to these resignation terms, which, according to estimates from the White House (Elon Musk and his Department of Efficiency – ed.), could lead to savings of nearly $100 billion annually.

Previously, Donald Trump has repeatedly expressed his intention to enhance the efficiency of government agencies and combat bureaucracy.

Last week, he signed an executive order to establish the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which is headed by billionaire Elon Musk. Federal employees have already been prohibited from working remotely.
