Зеленський про мобілізацію: Треба працювати над якістю

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, spoke about the mobilization process in the country, emphasizing the need for its improvement. He shared this in an interview with Italian journalist Cecilia Sali for the newspaper Il Foglio.

Zelensky noted that Ukraine is mobilizing a significant number of new recruits aged 25 and older, with military personnel undergoing rotations and leaves. However, he believes this is insufficient and pointed out the importance of enhancing the quality of the mobilization process.

The president also highlighted that there is a societal demand for demobilization, but currently, this is not provided for in the legislation. He stressed that if part of the army were to leave their positions, it could have catastrophic consequences for the country.

Last year, the government proposed a bill to update the mobilization legislation, but during the second reading, provisions for demobilization and the rotation of military personnel, initiated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, were excluded.
