The new AUDI E was unveiled in Shanghai. This electric vehicle will be the first representative of a new model line that will be produced in China starting from mid-2025. Details about it were shared on the website of the German manufacturer.
Chinese AUDIs (the name is intentionally written in uppercase) will be manufactured in collaboration with the SAIC group. Notably, they will not feature the traditional four-ring emblem.
The AUDI E is a streamlined sports station wagon with an arched roof, a high window line, and sleek LED headlights and taillights. The narrow rear window is covered by a large spoiler. Cameras are installed instead of side mirrors.
The AUDI E is based on the new electric architecture known as the Advanced Digitized Platform.
The interior features a multi-section display that spans the entire width of the dashboard. The multimedia system is enhanced with artificial intelligence. The front seats are equipped with electric adjustment and are separated by a high two-tier console.
Two electric motors in the AUDI E generate a combined output of 775 hp and 800 Nm, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. The 100 kWh battery provides a range of 700 km, and thanks to the 800-volt electrical system, a quick charge to 55% takes only 10 minutes.
