One request from the employer during the interview, which the man refused to comply with, resulted in a polite goodbye and the news that he did not get the job. This was reported by Unilad.

The young man, who was 19 at the time, applied for a position at a large British company operating in the energy sector.

He successfully completed a phone interview, after which he was invited to a hotel.

"The next stage was a skills assessment. There were about 30 of us in a large conference room, around 20 were sent home, and the remaining 10 were offered to stay and undergo a personal interview in the hotel room," the man noted.

According to him, everything was going well at first, but at the end of the interview, he was asked to sing any song that came to mind.

The man was unsure how to respond but ultimately flatly refused to sing, even though the interviewer insisted. As a result, he was thanked for his time but informed that he did not get the job.

"The boss insisted that anyone who refused to sing at the end could not be hired, regardless of how well they performed in the interview," the young man explained.

He also mentioned that he regretted not singing for a long time but now believes he made the right choice.
