The Tesla Cybertruck, priced at $82,000, left abandoned on the side of the road in Seattle, Washington, has unexpectedly become a tourist attraction. It was discarded due to suspension failure. Meanwhile, pranksters have set up an improvised memorial for the futuristic vehicle. This was reported by Daily Mail.
Thanks to its newfound fame, it inspired creators to post on Reddit and even received a pin on Google Maps. On social media, it has been nicknamed "CyberStuck."
Reports indicate that a Cybertruck fan once encountered its owner and discovered that a child had crashed into the vehicle, and they were still trying to sort out insurance to either repair or tow it.
Some visitors have established makeshift memorials around the abandoned CyberTruck, including a fake stone cross with the inscription "RIP" and a bouquet of flowers.
0"I stopped by there this evening on my way to dinner. The owner was outside and was unhappy with our presence. He mentioned that a child crashed into his car a few weeks ago and he is still trying to deal with the insurance to fix it. He said that people have been following him and his wife for the past few days, and he doesn't understand why," a Reddit user wrote.
1The user explained that his abandoned vehicle has turned into a spectacle, and the owner has become furious. Shortly after, city officials placed an orange sticker on the windshield notifying the owner that the vehicle would be towed if it was not moved.
However, the owner did not respond to the notice. Soon after, the Cybertruck was towed to an unknown location.
2It remains unclear what caused the Cybertruck's malfunction in Seattle.
According to Driven Car Guide, some owners of the futuristic electric vehicles have encountered unexpected issues that point to design flaws, including suspension failures.
It appears that a suspension failure led to this CyberTruck becoming stranded on the side of the road in Seattle, with its rear wheels unnaturally angled inward.
The Tesla Cybertruck has been facing problems since its launch in November 2023, one of which occurred in June and resulted in the recall of over 11,000 vehicles. The recall followed reports that the accelerator pedal cover had slipped and snagged on the carpet.
Additionally, Tesla Cybertruck and its creator Elon Musk recently found themselves at the center of a scandal when Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov boasted about an electric vehicle equipped with a machine gun. It was remotely disabled, after which Kadyrov showcased two more "Cybertrucks" with machine guns and stated that they would be sent to the combat zone in Ukraine.
