Volchansk in the Kharkiv region is under the control of Defense Forces. The enemy aimed to capture the city by certain dates, but so far, they have been unsuccessful, noted in a national marathon broadcast by the speaker of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Yevhen Romanov.
“They will try to take it before the holidays,” — speculated Romanov about the latest date set by the Russians.
According to the speaker of the Regional Military Administration, the operational situation in northern Kharkiv has not significantly changed and remains complex. Over the past 24 hours, the enemy attempted to advance twice in the area of Volchansk. The occupiers carried out eight airstrikes using eight KABs and 26 NARs, as well as 46 drone strikes. They conducted 354 shelling attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
“Fighting continues in the city. We cannot say that the Russians are making progress. If the enemy advances to one or two buildings, it should be understood that a few people enter those ruins and die there. Then a few more come in, and they also die. That’s all the progress,” — Romanov stated.
In the past 24 hours, the enemy lost 95 soldiers, of which 32 were killed and 63 were wounded. Additionally, 62 units of weapons and military equipment were damaged, including: five artillery systems, armored vehicles, 17 cars, five units of special equipment, and 34 UAVs. A total of 101 personnel shelters, a launch position for UAVs, and three ammunition storage sites were destroyed.
