"What does it mean to cover 1.5 km in an armored personnel carrier?" An expert suggests that breakthroughs in Kupiansk are still possible.

Military-political analyst of the "Information Resistance" group, Alexander Kovalenko, suggests that the breakthrough of Russian forces into the city of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region, which was reported today, may not be the last.

“The truth is that the Russian occupiers had the opportunity to break through with one of their assault groups specifically in Kupiansk. They used armored fighting vehicles and made a swift advance along Heroes of Krut Street, but they were unable to secure their position, and that landing party was destroyed. So currently, there are no Russian occupiers in Kupiansk,” Kovalenko stated in a comment to the YouTube channel RBC-Ukraine.

However, the issue remains relevant, he continued, as the distance from the line of combat to the administrative border of Kupiansk is one and a half kilometers.

“What does it mean to cover one and a half kilometers at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour in an armored personnel carrier, for instance? Therefore, such incidents, in my opinion, will still occur. The Russians will continue to attempt breakthroughs in this manner, as it is their general tactic that they apply to every populated area,” the expert believes.

Recall that on November 13, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Russians, some of whom were dressed in Ukrainian Armed Forces uniforms, attempted to breach the defense in the Kupiansk direction in four waves. However, the specific locations were not clarified. It was reported that the enemy landing party broke through into Kupiansk the day before, as noted by Deep State. The analysts' map shows that the occupiers managed to advance near Kupiansk, and the "gray zone" is now just one kilometer from the city. Deep State suggests that the Russians may already be on the left bank of the city.
