To invade Kupiansk, the occupiers disguised themselves in Ukrainian Armed Forces uniforms – details from ISW.

The analysts from the Institute for the Study of War reported details of the Russian invasion of Kupiansk in their summary from November 14 (ISW) reported.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, there were a total of four waves of attack. The occupiers utilized 15 units of armored vehicles, including tanks, armored personnel carriers, and demining vehicles.

“The Ukrainian General Staff stated that Ukrainian forces destroyed all Russian equipment, while Russian infantry resorted to treachery by donning Ukrainian uniforms, which constitutes a war crime under international law. Russian bloggers claimed that the areas around Kolesnikovka (southeast of Kupiansk) are 'gray zones,' as Russian troops are unable to establish a foothold on the ruins of the settlement, while Ukrainian forces maintain positions in the wooded areas to the north,” ISW clarified.

Moreover, according to Russian sources, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation advanced near Moskovka, Borovaya, Kruglyakovka, and Vishnevoye. However, the Institute for the Study of War found no evidence to support this. The frontline in the Kharkiv direction also remained unchanged.
