The accident occurred on January 24 at approximately 08:40 on the 209th kilometer of the Kyiv-Kharkiv-Dovzhansky highway, near the village of Zasulye in the Poltava region. Reports have emerged online stating that the Kharkiv blogger Anna Zhuk died as a result of the incident.
According to preliminary data from the National Police of Ukraine in the Poltava region, a Lexus vehicle driven by a 1999-born driver collided with a stationary Renault Premium truck located outside the roadway.
“As a result of the accident, a 39-year-old female passenger in the Lexus SUV died at the scene from her injuries. The drivers of both the truck (born in 1983) and the SUV, as well as a minor passenger in the Lexus (born in 2015), were hospitalized with bodily injuries,” the police reported.

Law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances and causes of the accident. Investigators have included information in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under part 2 of article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation by a person operating a vehicle, resulting in the death of the victim) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Kharkiv blogger Zhenya Zub reported that the accident claimed the life of Kharkiv resident and blogger Anna Zhuk, better known as “Anet”.
“Her husband was driving the car, and he attempted to overtake in the right lane. There was a vehicle there. Anna died instantly,” Zub wrote.
Zhuk was popular on Instagram, boasting an audience of 370,000 followers.
