A Russian UAV struck a civilian vehicle on the outskirts of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region on the morning of February 22.
“A man and a woman sustained multiple injuries. The shelling occurred on February 22 around 09:15 at the exit from the city of Kupiansk. The injured, aged 63 and 56, were hospitalized. The vehicle was destroyed by fire,” — reported the communication department of the National Police in the Kharkiv region.
The head of the Kupiansk RDA, Andrey Kanashievich, clarified during an interview on "Suspilne" that on the same road and almost at the same spot the day before, a Russian drone had injured three police officers.
“The enemy uses any means of destruction against populated areas located along the Oskol River and along the front line… Consequently, shelling into the depths of populated areas in the Kondrashivka, Dvorichna, Kupiansk, and Kurilivka communities is also taking place. Additionally, in the morning, there was a report of shelling from a completely different direction – in the Olkhovatka community, in the settlement of Prikolotne. This is the Volchansk direction of the Kharkiv region. There was also shelling in open areas there. So far, there has been no information on the consequences. We hope that everything is more or less normal there,” — said Kanashievich.
The police noted that they have initiated a criminal case regarding the war crime.
