The experiment ended early: a man fasted for 30 days, consuming only water. Here’s what happened.

A man went without food for a month (30 days), consuming only water, although he initially intended to last for 42 days. This was reported by Unilad.

"I want you to know that I will only be drinking water and adding electrolytes (sodium, magnesium, potassium)," the man wrote on the first day of the experiment. His weight before starting was nearly 98 kilograms.

The man regularly updated his progress, stating that the first 72 hours were "the hardest."

"The first 72 hours are the toughest because your body constantly signals that it needs food. After this initial period, it becomes much easier," he noted.

After the first week, he had lost weight down to 92 kg.

"Celebrating New Year's without tasty snacks and drinks was tough, but I endured, I'm alive. I slept fairly well and overall feel good, but I can't shake the feeling that this fast is significantly different from my previous ones... something happened, and I'm not quite sure what," he explained.

He also shared that his bowel movements were "very prolonged, and even after 13 days without food, remnants of meals were still coming out."

However, by January 17, he reported that he had his first bowel movement in 12 days.

The man concluded his fast on January 23, 2025, weighing 83 kg.

"I finally finished. 30 days without food, just water. I didn't reach the 1000-hour mark as I originally planned, but I'm still proud of how long I lasted. I did this to challenge myself, and for no other reason! I will never fast for that long again," the man emphasized.

As a reminder, the man has over 1000 exotic spiders living in one room of his house.
