According to reports from the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a 44-year-old resident of Derhachi and his 42-year-old acquaintance organized a "business" selling cigarettes.
“They set up warehouses on the premises of two private homes in Kharkiv, where they illegally stored tobacco products without excise tax stamps. The dealers sold the 'goods' through a Telegram channel. During authorized searches, law enforcement discovered and seized more than 43,500 packs of tobacco products without excise tax stamps, two bags of tobacco, handwritten notes, mobile phones, cash, etc.,” the authorities reported.
The total value of the seized goods amounts to over 3.2 million hryvnias. After conducting examinations and other investigative actions, the individuals involved in the case may face charges, the prosecutor's office added.
