As winter approaches, Russian troops in Donbas will be forced to alter their tactics due to worsening weather conditions and logistics. This was stated by the head of artillery intelligence for the 4th "Rubezh" brigade, Captain of the National Guard of Ukraine, Vladimir Nazarenko, during the "We are Ukraine" program. He noted that with the drop in temperature and muddy roads, the occupiers will abandon the use of light transport vehicles such as scooters.

He emphasized that winter in Donbas brings not only cold but also significant challenges for movement. Weather conditions are changing: the fog season is arriving, resulting in extremely poor visibility. During the day, temperatures barely reach above freezing, causing everything to melt and turn into swamps. At night, however, everything freezes.

With such conditions, it will be more difficult for the Russians to execute their attack plans, which were previously carried out using fast and maneuverable scooters and motorcycles. They will be forced to switch to a pedestrian mode – referred to as "worms." This means that the occupiers will try to gather their forces and move on foot, the military explained.

However, this will certainly not go unnoticed by the Ukrainian military. When the enemy moves on foot, they become more vulnerable to our artillery, FPV drones, mortars, and grenade launchers. This creates additional opportunities for effectively striking the opponent, added Vladimir Nazarenko.
