Russians posted an "epic" video claiming to show the destruction of a mechanized column of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during battles in the Kursk region. However, it turned out to be a compilation of archival footage, with most of the destroyed or damaged equipment being Russian, as noted by OSINT analysts from the In Factum team.
"Even the weather indicates that this is not the same event. In the initial frames, we see a fully snow-covered landscape. Later, there's almost melting snow, because these shots were taken at the end of November [2024]," the specialists pointed out.
The cluster of burnt Russian equipment shown at the 31-second mark of the video is from the exit from Lyubimovka towards Zeleny Shlyakh. In turn, Russian war correspondents presented these clips as the destruction of several columns of armored vehicles from the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the Berdin hamlet in the Kursk region.
FPV crews, "Lancet" operators, and artillery and mortar units of the GW "North" supposedly conducted successful strikes on targets.
Additionally, the tank that detonated on a mine at the 26-second mark is also Russian, and the corresponding footage was geolocated by the lost_warinua community on November 26 near the settlement of Tolstyy Lug in the Kursk region.
"The destroyed Russian T-72B3M tank from 2022 with a grill near the settlement of Tolstyy Lug in the Kursk region," the researchers described the video.
During the new offensive in the Kursk region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces utilized technical advantages. Advanced electronic warfare systems installed on military equipment helped avoid drone strikes.
