Russian occupiers are preparing for a new large-scale combined attack on Ukraine.
This was stated by the spokesperson for the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Captain 3rd Rank Dmitry Pletenchuk, during a broadcast on "Espresso." He mentioned that the first signal of preparation for the attack is the simultaneous deployment of Russian missile carriers into the atmosphere and the rotation of cruise missile carriers of the "Kalibr" type in the Black Sea.
According to Pletenchuk, a combined attack by the Russian Federation typically involves the mobilization of all available resources. Primarily, this includes "Shahed" drones, which are used to identify Ukrainian air defense systems and target them during mass assaults. At the same time, "Kalibr" missiles serve a similar purpose but are faster and more dangerous targets.
As the representative of the Ukrainian Navy stated, if Russian ships are operating in the sea individually, it is likely related to the dispersal of military assets for protection against Ukrainian strikes, particularly from drones. Often, missile carriers are evacuated from their base in Novorossiysk, but they return to their deployment area within a day or two. Therefore, such maneuvers do not always indicate preparation for an attack, but may be part of defensive measures.
Pletenchuk also noted that there are no ships with universal launch systems capable of launching various types of missiles in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas. The primary threat to Ukraine remains the "Kalibr" carriers, which are actively used for attacks from the sea.
