The past year has been the most challenging for Ukraine's energy system since the beginning of the full-scale war. In 2024, the enemy started shelling as early as March.
This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, Herman Halushchenko, during a telethon.
"This truly was the most difficult year (2024, — ed.). Because, even when analyzing the strikes that occurred in 2022 and 2023, they (the Russians, — ed.) began massive strikes, for example, on October 10. In 2024, they started much earlier, from March," Halushchenko said.
According to the head of the ministry, the destruction caused by strikes on the energy sector was significant and overall much greater than in previous years. In particular, the nature of the strikes, their complexity, and the weapons used by the enemy have changed.
