An intercontinental ballistic missile was launched over the Dnieper, according to an expert's opinion.

On the morning of November 21, from 05:00 to 07:00, the Russian army attacked the city of Dnipro. Among the missiles launched was an intercontinental ballistic missile.

The occupiers fired it from the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation, reported the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Additionally, the enemy attacked the city from the Tambov region using a MiG-31K fighter jet — the air-launched ballistic missile Kh-47M2 "Kinzhal," as well as from the Volgograd region using Tu-95MS strategic bombers — seven cruise missiles Kh-101.

“As a result of the air battle, the anti-aircraft missile troops of the Air Forces destroyed six Kh-101 missiles. There were no significant consequences from the other missiles,” noted the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Serhiy Lysak, the enemy attack on Dnipro damaged a rehabilitation center for people with disabilities. A boiler room was partially destroyed, and several dozen windows were shattered. No injuries were reported among the people there.

“In addition, there is destruction in a garage cooperative. A fire broke out there. Furthermore, as previously reported, an industrial enterprise was damaged. Additionally, two private houses were affected. A fire occurred in one of them, which was extinguished. The fire in the second location was also put out,” wrote Lysak.

Preliminarily, two people were injured. A 57-year-old man received assistance on-site. A 42-year-old woman was hospitalized.

Whether this was an RS-26 "Rubezh" missile, which had been rumored in Ukrainian Telegram channels the day before, remains officially unknown. During a broadcast of the national marathon, military analyst, reserve major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksiy Hetman, stated that “Rubezh” is an improved development of the 1970s “Pioneer” missile.

“This is a medium-range missile, with a range of 6,000 kilometers. It is called an intercontinental missile because they write in the specifications that it has a range of 6,000, and that exceeds 5,500, which classifies it as long-range, or intercontinental. Whether it can fly that distance is hard to say, but they can claim anything they want. It's a powerful missile, but it is not nuclear. Its weight is 1,250 kilograms. How dangerous it is, well, like any ballistic missile, it should be intercepted by missile defense. Whether it was possible to hit ‘Yuzhmash,’ as some foreign analysts suggest, is also a very big question. Even if such a hit could occur, there’s no need to worry too much; the workshops that produce the necessary components are located underground at ‘Yuzhmash,’” said Hetman.
