Over the course of a day, firefighters responded to 28 fires in Kharkiv region, reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv region.
The State Emergency Service clarified that fire broke out four times due to enemy shelling in the area. In particular, rescuers provided information on the results of the evening strike by the Russian Federation on Kharkiv.
“At 5:00 PM, enemy aircraft dropped a guided bomb in the midst of residential buildings in the Saltivskyi district of the city. The munition struck the ground near high-rise buildings. According to preliminary data, a man and a woman were killed, and 5 people were injured. Rescuers and bomb disposal specialists from the State Emergency Service were working at the scene. Additionally, psychologists from the State Emergency Service provided assistance to local residents,” the rescuers reported.
There was also a decrease in the number of fires in natural ecosystems – over the course of the day, there were 14 fires covering an area of 22.4 hectares.
