In just one day, rescuers extinguished five fires, one of which was caused by enemy shelling, reported in the morning briefing from the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.
“In the Saltivskyi district, an aerial bomb struck a residential 12-story building, damaging the lower floors. Nearby structures, commercial properties, and vehicles were also affected. A fire covering an area of 20 sq. m broke out, which the rescuers quickly extinguished. Thirty people were evacuated, including four children. Preliminary reports indicate that 25 individuals were injured, among them one child. Emergency service units, police, municipal services, and volunteers are currently on-site conducting rescue operations. Psychologists are providing assistance to the victims,” the rescuers stated.
Additionally, the emergency service personnel made two trips to inspect areas after “arrivals” in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Fortunately, there were no fires reported there.
