Explosions occurred in Kharkiv overnight, damaging a historic architectural monument. (Updated)

The first explosion in Kharkiv occurred around 02:45.

Updated at 07:34. According to data from the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov, the Russians targeted the city with the Shahed-2 drones.

“The roof of a non-residential building, which is an architectural monument, was damaged and caught fire. The fire was localized by 05:20. One person was injured, living in a high-rise across the street – an acute stress reaction,” Synegubov specified.

He added that another strike hit the roof of a non-residential building.

“The windows of seven buildings at an educational institution were also damaged. No injuries reported,” the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration stated.

Almost an hour before the "arrival," the Air Force reported that "Shaheds" were moving from the Sumy region towards Kharkiv.

At 02:45, Mayor Igor Terekhov confirmed: an explosion was heard in the city.

“There is information about a strike by a Shahed,” the city mayor wrote.

Later, he clarified: the attack hit an administrative building in the Saltivskyi district. A fire broke out at the strike site.

“Windows were shattered in the high-rise across the street. A gas station was damaged. No information about injuries has been received at this time. All relevant services are working at the site,” Terekhov clarified.

Soon, another explosion was heard. This time, the target was the Osnovyanskyi district.

“There is a fire at the impact site,” the mayor added.
