Two people injured in Kharkiv region: affected on the highway

A Russian drone struck a civilian vehicle on the road out of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region on the morning of February 22.

“A man and a woman sustained multiple injuries. The shelling occurred on February 22 at approximately 09:15 on the outskirts of Kupiansk. The injured, aged 63 and 56, were hospitalized. The vehicle was destroyed by fire,” — reported the communication department of the National Police in the Kharkiv region.

The aftermath of the strike on the Derhachi community shown by the head of the military administration

A KAB struck private homes in the village of Lobanivka at 04:15 in the morning, reported Vyacheslav Zadorenko, head of the Derhachi city military administration.

“There was a direct hit of an aerial bomb on a building, which caused a fire. The State Emergency Service firefighters quickly localized and extinguished it. As a result of the shelling, two houses were destroyed and at least 12 households were damaged in both Lobanivka and the neighboring Dubovka. Fortunately, there were no casualties,” — informed Zadorenko.

Three Russian drones attacked Bliznyuki at night — prosecutors

“According to the investigation, on February 21 at around 22:40, three enemy drones attacked a civilian enterprise in the village of Bliznyuki in the Lozova district. Warehouses were damaged. It has been established that the Russian army used the Geran-2 drones for the strikes,” — informed the press service of the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office.

There were no casualties. Investigators are working at the scene.

KABs and "Shaheds" attacked Kharkiv region at night: there are damages — Synegubov

“23:01 on February 21. Lozova district, Bliznyuk community, village of Bliznyuki, territory of a civilian enterprise. As a result of a Geran-2 drone strike, the roof of a warehouse building was damaged. The second Geran-2 drone hit another civilian enterprise's warehouse, causing a fire on an area of 20 square meters,” — reported Oleg Synegubov, head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, on the morning of February 22.

Throughout the night, the Russian army struck the Kharkiv region with KABs.

“On February 22 at around 04:15, Kharkiv district, Derhachi community, village of Lobanivka. As a result of the KAB strike, a private residential house was destroyed, leading to a subsequent fire. There were no casualties. On February 22 at 04:22, Bohodukhiv district, Zolochiv community, village of Makariha. A KAB hit the ground. There were no casualties or damages,” — wrote Synegubov.

Throughout the day, the Borova community was under constant attacks. The Russian army bombarded Borovshchyna with aerial bombs. There are damages, but no casualties. One of the bombs that hit Borova damaged a high-voltage power line. The settlement is partially without electricity, and restoration work is still ongoing. The Bohodukhiv district was also under attack — the border Zolochiv community particularly suffered.

The Russian army carried out airstrikes on Kharkiv region — General Staff data

Throughout the day, Zolochiv and Borova were under airstrikes, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a summary at 08:00 on February 22.

“In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attempted to breach the defensive lines of our defenders near Volchansk twice. In the Kupiansk direction, there were five attacks by the invaders yesterday. Our defenders repelled the enemy’s assault actions near Zahryzove,” — reported the General Staff.

Night fire in Kharkiv: a man injured — data from the SES

At 21:04 on February 21, a fire broke out in the Nemishlyansky district of Kharkiv, rescuers reported.

“Structural elements of a private house were burning over an area of 50 square meters. As a result of the fire, a 31-year-old man was injured. With burns to his face and right limb, he was hospitalized. The cause of the fire was a short circuit in the electrical network,” — informed the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.

During the night, a series of air raid alerts sounded in Kharkiv. The first alert was issued on the evening of February 21. It was announced at 19:25 due to the threat of enemy strikes with attack drones.

“Shaheds” circled over the territory of Ukraine until after midnight: the all-clear in the Kharkiv region was given at 01:24.

However, the night’s concerns did not end there. There were two more alerts: from 01:49 to 03:50 and from 04:07 to 05:26. In these cases, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned about the activity of Russian aviation.

Monitoring channels reported on KAB launches in the Kupiansk district and the northern part of the region. As of 07:00, there were no alerts in Kharkiv and the region.
