Russia attempted to break through in northern Kharkiv: Ukrainian forces destroyed enemy BMP-3s

Over the past day, the enemy tried to attack defensive positions near Volchansk. In the Tikhoye area, the opponent aimed to break through with the support of armored vehicles; however, during the repulsion of the offensive, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed four enemy BMP-3s, reported the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

The occupiers carried out one airstrike using four KABs, 42 kamikaze drone strikes, and conducted 372 shellings of Ukrainian defenders' positions.

The enemy's losses over the past day amounted to 91 people, of which 52 were irretrievable and 39 were sanitary.

Additionally, in the Kharkiv direction, the enemy lost 68 units of weapons and military equipment, either destroyed or damaged.

Fatal fire occurred overnight near Kharkiv

Reports of a fire in a private house in the village of Pesochin were received by rescuers at 02:19 on January 25, reported the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.

When rescuers arrived at the scene of the fire, the flames had spread over an area of 100 square meters. It was noted that living rooms, the roof, and the house's ceiling were on fire.

"In the fire's epicenter, rescuers discovered a man's body," the State Emergency Service stated.

The fire was brought under control at 04:54. The cause of the fire is being investigated.

Aerial strike in the Kazachya Lopan area and 16 attacks: General Staff on the situation in Kharkiv

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attempted to break through the defensive lines of Ukrainian defenders near Volchansk twice, reported the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its update as of 08:00.

In the Kupiansk direction, there were 14 attacks by the occupiers yesterday. Ukrainian soldiers repelled the enemy's assault actions near Peshchanoe, Dvurechnoe, Glushkovka, Nova Kruglyakovka, Zeleny Hay, and Zagryzovo.

In addition, the enemy carried out an airstrike in the vicinity of the settlement Kazachya Lopan.

Debris from "Shaheds" damaged homes, a greenhouse, and power lines in Kharkiv region, a fire occurred

The Russian army attacked the Chuhuiv district with Shahed-type drones. The consequences were reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleg Synegubov.

According to him, at 22:11 in the village of Sheludkovka, four private houses were damaged as a result of debris from a downed Shahed.

At 22:07 in the village of Ternova, debris from an enemy drone damaged a greenhouse, Synegubov added.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region clarified that in Ternova, a fire occurred in an open area covering 10 square meters due to the drone attack. There were no casualties.

Already in the morning, at 07:17, as a result of a Shahed falling in the village of Grakovo, power lines were damaged. Electricity supply has been restored, reported the National Police of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.

Strike drones were "circling" over Kharkiv region at night

An alert was declared in the region as early as the evening, at 21:00. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned about the threat of strike drones being used.

Initially, enemy drones were heading from Kharkiv through Dnipropetrovsk. Additionally, they were observed on the border of Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, as well as in the eastern part of Kharkiv.

Then, new groups of drones were noted in the eastern part of Kharkiv, heading west.

For the last time, the Air Force informed about enemy drones over the region at 00:05. At that time, the drones were in the northern part of Kharkiv and moving south.

At 01:56, the all-clear was given. The siren sounded again at 04:17. The reasons for this were not disclosed by the Armed Forces. At 05:51, the all-clear was declared. However, the alert remains in effect in the Kupiansk and Kharkiv districts, as well as in the Lipetsk and Volchansk communities.
