A man was injured by an unidentified explosive device in Chuhuiv region

“On the evening of February 25, information was received about the explosion of an unknown explosive device in a field between the villages of Bazaliivka and Yurchenkove in the Chkalov community of the Chuhuiv district. As a result of the explosion, a man born in 1973 sustained injuries to his legs and body. He was hospitalized by an emergency medical team,” – clarified the regional emergency service in Kharkiv region.

Russian forces attacked an enterprise in Zolochiv at night

According to reports from the publication "Zarya", around 00:05 a Shahed drone flew over the settlement.

“The impact was on the territory of a non-operational enterprise. As a result of the strike on the roof of the building, the production area was partially damaged. There were no casualties,” – reported the head of the Zolochiv village military administration, Viktor Kovalenko.

In the morning of February 26, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov, informed about enemy strikes in Kharkiv region.

On the morning of the previous day, the enemy periodically shelled the Bohodukhiv district. At 11:46 in Zolochiv, a "hit" from a UAV was recorded – as a result of the strike, residential buildings and vehicles were damaged, and a woman was injured. A second strike on the village occurred at 12:35 – another woman was wounded and hospitalized.

“At 13:30 in Chuhuiv district, Volchanska TG, on the highway between the village of Belyi Kolodets and the village of Karayichne. As a result of shelling from a multiple rocket launcher, a passenger car was damaged. A man was killed, and another was injured,” – wrote the head of the Regional Military Administration.

Half an hour later, there was a strike on Kupiansk – in the village of Kutkivka, a 55-year-old man was injured due to an FPV drone strike. After that, throughout the evening, the Russians periodically terrorized the Bohodukhiv and Kupiansk districts. Houses, outbuildings, and vehicles were damaged due to the strikes.

Additionally, Synegubov reminded that at night the occupiers targeted Kharkiv.

“As a result of debris from a Geran drone, multi-story buildings, a university, theater premises, and a café were damaged. A fire broke out in a 9-story building, two women aged 40 and 86 experienced acute stress reactions, and five others were rescued. The sidewalk and the trolleybus contact network were also damaged,” – added Synegubov.

Occupiers attempted to breach the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine six times in the Kharkiv direction

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the morning of February 26 about the battles in the Kharkiv and Kupiansk directions, as well as shelling in the region.

In northern Kharkiv region, the enemy stormed the positions of Ukrainian defenders six times near Volchansk and Dvurechne.

“In the Kupiansk direction, five attacks by the invaders occurred during the day. Defense forces repelled the enemy's assault actions near Petropavlivka and Zahrizovo,” – clarified the General Staff.

Throughout the day, the Russians shelled the following settlements in the region: Zolochiv, Udy, Yemtsy, and Monachynivka.

Four Shaheds struck Kharkiv, a fire broke out in a multi-story building

The mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, provided details about one of the “hits” in the city center during the night attack by Shahed drones. Four UAVs struck the city. One hit on Sumskaya Street, shattering windows in a multi-story building and damaging the trolleybus contact network (repairs will be carried out at night to ensure transport operates in the morning). Two Shaheds hit a café in the Kyiv district, and another hit a multi-story building.

“There was a very severe impact. The strike was preliminarily in an apartment on the second floor. Emergency service personnel are currently working on site,” – noted Terekhov.

Explosions were heard in Kharkiv around midnight. An air alert was declared in the city at 23:46 — residents were informed of the threat of a Shahed attack. Anti-aircraft defense was active in various districts.

“There were three strikes in the city, preliminary information indicates — in the Shevchenkivskyi and Kyiv districts. Currently, information about casualties and damages is being clarified,” — reported the mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, in the night of February 26.
