The preliminary results of the morning strike on Kharkiv were reported by Mayor Ihor Terekhov during a national marathon broadcast.

The number of injured is increasing – currently, there are already reports of 23 wounded, the city head clarified.

“There are many injured, and in addition, residential buildings have been damaged. More than 40 houses have been affected. Our municipal services are currently working to clear away the destruction caused by the Russians. As for our plans, we had to change them because we usually operate on a scheduled basis. But today, everyone is working in emergency mode to get everything done as quickly as possible, as it is very chilly outside, and our primary task is to ensure heating, energy supply, and gas supply to create more or less normal conditions,” Terekhov said.

According to him, this time there was no need to sort through the rubble or rescue people trapped beneath it. Residents can wait until the relevant services finish clearing the debris in “points of invincibility” or temporarily settle in dormitories. Terekhov also reminded that the CPAU was damaged due to the shelling. For a while, services will be provided in another building.

“We will have to relocate this equipment. We will not purchase new equipment. Once we complete all restoration work, we will transfer this equipment back to the same premises it was in. And we will continue to operate in the same familiar mode,” Terekhov explained.
