On the night of February 22 to 23, Russian forces launched another attack on Ukraine, utilizing drones and ballistic missiles. As a result of these strikes across various regions, numerous damages, fires, and casualties among the civilian population have been reported.

Among the cities affected by the attacks were Kyiv, Odesa region, Zaporizhzhia, and Kryvyi Rih.

Attack on Kyiv

In the capital, debris from enemy drones damaged three districts: Pechersk, Holosiivskyi, and Darnytskyi.

  • In the Pechersk district, fragments fell on open land, damaging windows in a non-residential building. No casualties were reported.
  • In the Holosiivskyi district, a fire broke out in a private house due to falling debris, but there were no reports of injuries.
  • In the Darnytskyi district, a fire also occurred after UAV debris fell, damaging several private homes and vehicles.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that debris was also found on the grounds of the M. Hryshko National Botanical Garden.

Missile Strike on Kryvyi Rih

On the evening of February 22, Russians conducted a missile strike on Kryvyi Rih, resulting in damage to an infrastructure facility. One man died in the hospital, and two women (aged 30 and 31) sustained injuries.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned about a possible threat of missile attacks, and it is likely that this was indeed a ballistic missile strike.

Attack on Odesa Region

In the Odesa region, Russian forces targeted using strike drones, leading to a fire in a private home.

Three people were injured. All necessary services are working to mitigate the aftermath of this attack.

Shelling of Zaporizhzhia

Zaporizhzhia also came under shelling, resulting in fires in the private sector, while windows in several apartment buildings were damaged. A 53-year-old woman was injured and is currently receiving medical assistance.
