As reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a 40-year-old woman began voluntarily working for the Russian Federation after the occupation of Izium.
“During the occupation, the woman decided to change her line of work and got employed at the Izium police department. The collaborator took the position of 'assistant to the operational duty officer' in the occupying police force. She worked from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and also took on duty once a month. The pseudo-law enforcement officer accepted information about crimes and other incidents, processed it, and reported to the 'operational duty officer,'” the prosecutor's office noted.
The woman was found guilty of collaborationist activities and sentenced to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property. Currently, she is in the Russian Federation – she relocated there before the de-occupation of Izium. Law enforcement officials have already put her on the wanted list and clarified that the term of her sentence will begin from the moment of her arrest. While the traitor evades serving her sentence, the statute of limitations is suspended.
