After February 28, the reservation period for certain conscripts in Ukraine will end, which means they may be mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to Alexander Fedienko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence, the reservation status for conscripts working at enterprises ceases if they lose their critical status or do not meet specific criteria. In such cases, reserved employees lose this status.

"Considering that such conscripts are all registered, the TCC has the full right to mobilize these conscripts. All actions are within the law," he states.

In short, representatives of the TCC and local government bodies are accommodating defense enterprises and companies in the communication and energy sectors by providing time for the re-reservation of employees.

Fedienko also explained that the reservation of employees mainly from the agro-industrial sector is created based on the needs for the production of goods for the military.

“The mobilization task should be such that the enterprise can fulfill it,” he said.

At the same time, the reservation of an employee is provided by the Ministry of Economy. Even if an enterprise temporarily loses its mobilization task, the reservation of the employee will remain valid.

Alexander Fedienko emphasized that it is crucial to find a balance between meeting the needs of critically important enterprises and mobilization to replenish the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations. After February 28, a portion of the reserved individuals will be mobilized into the ranks of the army.
