It has already been reported that Ukrainian forces are continuing their active operations in the Kursk direction.

According to information from the occupiers, Ukrainian troops have initiated an offensive in the Kursk region, indicating a potential escalation of operations following the start of the offensive campaign in early August. This was elaborated on by retired Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and military expert Roman Svitan during a broadcast on "24 Channel."

"The Russians are attempting to halt the advance of Ukrainian forces by using Iskander missiles and other systems in the Sumy region. At the same time, Ukrainian intelligence is operating effectively, and the frontline units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to strengthen their positions," the expert noted.

Meanwhile, in the southeast near the village of Plekhov, Russia is concentrating its forces in an effort to reach Sudzha, aiming to cut off the main supply line of Ukrainian units. However, thanks to the well-coordinated actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with artillery support, the Russians are suffering significant losses in this direction.

"Currently, it is known that Russian troops are utilizing airfields in Taganrog and Millerovo, which have become platforms for helicopters and tactical airfields. However, after the relocation of main equipment, Russian Su-25 aircraft have been moved further away from the front line, specifically 300 km from the main combat points," the expert remarked.

Additionally, important targets for Ukrainian drones have become airfields where fuel and lubricants, as well as warehouses critical for Russian logistics, are stored.
