Out of 16 emergency call-outs handled by the rescuers of the State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv region over the course of a day, nine were related to fire extinguishing efforts.

According to the rescuers, one of these fires was caused by "incoming strikes."

“On January 23, the enemy attacked the village of Novoselivka in the Bohodukhiv district with a drone. As a result of the explosion, an outbuilding and two neighboring houses were damaged. A fire broke out over an area of 40 square meters. Six rescuers and two pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. There were no casualties,” the State Emergency Service reported.

Additionally, the rescuers assisted in the evacuation of five residents from the Kondrashivska community.

“Using an armored vehicle, five individuals were evacuated from the villages of Kondrashivka and Tyshchenkovka in the Kondrashivska community. Three rescuers and one piece of equipment from the State Emergency Service participated in the operation,” the firefighters clarified.
