It was reported by the regional State Emergency Service in Kharkiv that two residential fires occurred within a day in high-rise buildings in the Kharkiv region.

Initially, at 11:33, a fire broke out in a nine-story building in the Novobavar district.

“Upon arrival, rescuers found that household items were burning on the balcony of an apartment on the third floor, covering an area of 2 square meters. Firefighters rescued a 65-year-old man. The cause of the fire is being investigated,” the State Emergency Service stated.

Later, closer to midnight, rescuers responded to extinguish a fire in Vasyshchevo.

“In a five-story residential building, household items were burning in an apartment on the second floor, also covering an area of 2 square meters. During the firefighting operation, rescuers saved a 37-year-old woman. The fire was extinguished at 22:01. A 38-year-old man was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation,” the firefighters noted.

Additionally, around 17:50, specialists were dispatched to inspect the site of a “strike” in Zolochiv.

“As a result of the shelling, private homes, outbuildings, and vehicles were damaged. There was no fire. A 62-year-old woman was injured as a result of the strike,” the State Emergency Service added.
