Regarding the situation on the Kharkiv and Kupiansk fronts, as well as the advancements and successes of the Russians, reported in the summary for November 18 by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
In particular, analysts confirmed the success of the Russian Federation during the offensive in the Kupiansk area. It is known that the enemy has occupied parts of the territory south of Kupiansk.
“Ukrainian military observer Konstantin Moshovets stated that units of the Russian 2nd Motorized Rifle Division (1st Guards Tank Army of the Moscow Military District) captured Kolesnikovka (south of Kupiansk) and occupy an area approximately 3-3.5 kilometers along the eastern bank of the Oskol River,” – wrote ISW.
Additionally, the Institute for the Study of War mentioned that the Russian Armed Forces continue to attack in the areas of Kolesnikovka, Kruglyakovka, and Zagrizovoye. However, in the northern part of the region, the occupiers' assaults have been unsuccessful, and the front line remains unchanged.
As a reminder, the day before, military observer from the “Information Resistance” group Konstantin Moshovets declared that, most likely, the Russian occupiers have taken Kolesnikovka and expanded their control zone in the Oskol area.
