According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on Thursday, January 30, the enemy launched two attacks on our positions in the Kupiansk direction, supported by aviation. Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy assaults near Petropavlivka and Nova Kruhlyakivka.
In the Lyman direction, enemy units attacked in the areas of the settlements of Kopanky, Nevske, Yamplivka, Zelena Dolyna, Terny, and Kolodyazi. Since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian soldiers have already repelled seven attacks, with two more clashes ongoing.
In the Siversky direction, since the start of the day, the enemy has made seven attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the areas of Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamianske, with four clashes still taking place.
This was reported by the head of the intelligence of the anti-aircraft missile and artillery division of the "Rubizh" brigade, Danylo Borysenko, during a broadcast on the national telethon "Unified News."
"As of now, the area of responsibility for the "Rubizh" brigade covers the Kupiansk, Lyman, and Siversky directions. On this day, there were two attempts of assault actions from the enemy in the Kupiansk direction. There were also nine attempts in the Lyman direction and seven attempts in the Siversky direction.
The enemy has intensified its actions specifically in the Siversky direction, primarily attacking in the areas of Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamianske.
Its tactics remain largely unchanged — the use of aviation with guided aerial bombs (KAB) and fab bombs (FAB). Artillery is also being used very actively, along with a significant number of FPV drones. The infantry conducts assaults using small infantry group tactics. They attempt to find weak points at the junctions between units and infiltrate into forest belts and plantations. If in a populated area, they establish themselves on the outskirts in separate houses.
If such a group manages to secure a position, even with just two or three people, they wait for reinforcements. In this way, they accumulate manpower for a further push," Danylo Borysenko explained.
