Several Russian soldiers were held in a pit without food and water for three days before being sent into an assault, where they ultimately lost their lives. It was decided not to retrieve their bodies from the battlefield.
"Psychological distress": Russian commanders are reportedly torturing soldiers for refusing to assault Ukrainian positions, according to "Atesh."

The command of the Russian Armed Forces is torturing its own soldiers who refuse to storm the islands on the left bank of the Kherson region. This was reported by the partisan movement "Atesh".

"Commanders of the officer and sergeant ranks have started to torture all military personnel who refuse to obey suicidal orders," the statement reads.

Specifically, this concerns several servicemen from the 61st Separate Marine Brigade who declined to participate in a poorly organized assault on one of the islands of the Dnieper in Kherson. They were notably thrown into a pit.

"They spent three days there without food and water, and then they were sent to another assault, where they perished. Their bodies were never evacuated, and they are now considered missing," "Atesh" noted.

Ukrainian partisans emphasized: whereas such measures were previously applied for serious offenses, now punishment is being used for the slightest reason.

"The soldiers' mental state is on edge, and commanders are increasingly resorting to physical violence as a means of pressure. Threats, beatings, and the 'pit' have become commonplace... Military personnel understand: if you become undesirable, you won't last long," "Atesh" highlighted.

Recall that on December 24, "Atesh" reported that the assault on the right bank of Kherson ended in disaster for the Russians.

On December 20, "Atesh" reported that among the Russian servicemen stationed in the occupied part of the Kherson region, the number of suicide cases is increasing.
