A drunk driver crashed into a house in Kharkiv, according to patrol police (photos included).

Reports of a traffic accident on Victory Avenue in Kharkiv were received by the police on February 13 around 11:00 PM, officials reported from the Patrol Police Department of Kharkiv Oblast.

At the scene of the accident, law enforcement discovered a Volkswagen vehicle with characteristic damage.

“The inspectors determined that the driver of the mentioned vehicle lost control and collided with an obstacle—a building—due to not taking into account the traffic situation and safe driving speed,” noted the patrol police.

When the police spoke with the driver, they found signs of alcohol intoxication, the patrol officers added. The woman refused to undergo a sobriety test.

The authorities removed the woman from driving and filed administrative protocols against her under Article 124 (Traffic violation resulting in an accident) and part 1 of Article 130 (Refusal of the driver to undergo a sobriety test) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.

These materials will be subsequently forwarded to the court.
