A photo of the new Wuling Zhiguang EV has been published. The compact electric vehicle is set to debut by the end of the year. This is reported by CarNewsChina.
The minivan is the older sibling of the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, as it is built on the same platform. Both models were developed with the involvement of General Motors specialists, since the American corporation is a co-owner (along with SAIC) of the Chinese brand. The Wuling Zhiguang EV will be slightly more expensive than its sibling, which starts at $4600.
The new Wuling Zhiguang EV is similar to Japanese kei cars (subcompact city vehicles). It features a short hood, vertical rear roof pillars, and elongated headlights. The rear doors are sliding. Standard equipment includes 13-inch wheels with 165/65 R13 tires.
The interior of the Wuling Zhiguang EV has not been revealed, but it is known that the minivan will accommodate four passengers. It is also noted that the electric vehicle is equipped with a 40-horsepower motor on the rear axle, and its top speed is 100 km/h.
Interestingly, a new Wuling electric crossover for $10,750 has recently debuted, boasting a range of over 500 km.
