In the Kursk region, Russian troops have significantly intensified their actions, increasing pressure on Ukrainian forces.

This was reported by Ukrainian political scientist and serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Kirill Sazonov, who added during a broadcast on "Espresso" that the enemy is actively trying to push Ukrainian troops out of the region, possibly planning to accomplish this task by the end of the year or January.

Elite Russian units have been deployed in this section of the front, including paratroopers and marines, notably the 810th Brigade, and there is also evidence of North Korean military involvement.

"Our forces, holding positions near Sudzha and protecting the route to Zeleny Hay, are repelling constant assaults. In recent days, Ukrainian artillery has successfully destroyed several enemy armored personnel carriers, preventing the adversary from launching an offensive. Drones are also actively participating in the battles, helping to maintain control over key areas," shared the serviceman.

Combat operations in this direction remain extremely dynamic. The enemy sometimes attempts to flank Ukrainian units, believing they have driven them from their positions, and begins to establish their fortifications.

"Infantry is engaged in battles with the enemy, while we provide cover with mortars. In other words, we are not on the front line, but the Russians are maneuvering behind us. They have received information that we have already been pushed from our positions, and they are moving into our rear to establish their own positions. So when they say that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are surrounded in the Kursk region, I honestly find it amusing," noted Sazonov.
