As a result of shelling in Ukraine on the night of January 24, three people were killed and one injured due to falling debris from enemy drones in the Kyiv region, as reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
According to law enforcement, as of 7:30 AM, debris damaged 11 apartments in a multi-story building in one area of the region. In another area, debris struck 8 private houses, three vehicles, an outbuilding, and a shop.
It was reported by acting head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, that the debris from enemy drones caused destruction and a fire in a private house and a ten-story building in two localities of the region.
"The deceased was found in a fire at a private house due to debris from a downed target. The fire has now been extinguished. The second victim is a 36-year-old man in another locality, where a residential ten-story building was damaged," said the acting head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.
Two more individuals were injured and sought medical assistance. A 38-year-old woman experienced an acute stress reaction, while a 26-year-old man suffered superficial burns to his upper respiratory tract due to the fire.
The lists of the injured are being updated.
"The fire has been extinguished. Currently, an invincibility point for residents is operating near the damaged multi-story building. A tent with water and hot drinks has also been set up, and psychologists are working with the people," Mykola Kalashnyk reported.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that debris from a drone hit a ten-story building, damaging apartments on the sixth and seventh floors. A fire broke out, and 150 residents were evacuated from the building. Emergency service personnel rescued an injured man from the sixth floor and freed a woman trapped on the ninth.
The man who died as a result of the attack was born in 1988.
Another residential building was destroyed by debris from an enemy UAV in Brovary. The fire spread over an area of 120 square meters, and firefighters extinguished the flames at 4:14 AM. A resident of a private house, born in 1966, was killed, and searches for his wife, born in 1965, continued.
The mayor of Brovary, Ihor Sapozhko, also reported one fatality as a result of the attack. Debris from the downed target damaged 10 houses, and firefighters are working to eliminate the aftermath.
On the night of January 23-24, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the movement of enemy strike drones from the northern direction. A group of UAVs was detected in the Kyiv area at 3:14 AM.
The head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, reported the downing of four Russian drones in the region. Preliminary information indicates there were no casualties or injuries. In one of the villages, debris from the target damaged a residential house.
Over 400 strikes were carried out by the Russians in one day on the Zaporizhzhia region, reported Ivan Fedorov, the head of the regional military administration, at 7:00 AM on January 24. As a result of the enemy attack, one person was killed, and 54 were injured. The occupiers conducted 13 shellings from multiple launch rocket systems and 164 artillery strikes, as well as attacked the Zaporizhzhia region with 226 strike drones. The regional administration received 733 reports of damage to residential buildings and infrastructure.
Recall that on the night of January 23, the Russian Federation shelled Zaporizhzhia with four ballistic missiles. A 47-year-old man was killed, and 25 people were injured, including a two-month-old baby and four rescuers. Two attacks targeted an energy facility, resulting in more than 20,000 subscribers being left without electricity, and 17,000 without heating.
