During the past day, on January 22, the Russian army suffered the loss of another 1,340 soldiers killed and wounded. Since February 2022, Russia's total personnel losses have reached 825,320 individuals.
This information is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Additionally, the Russians continue to lose equipment. In particular:
- tanks — 9,850 (+6 over the past day);
- armored fighting vehicles — 20,497 (+12);
- artillery systems — 22,256 (+62);
- MLRS — 1,262;
- anti-aircraft systems — 1,050;
- aircraft — 369;
- helicopters — 331;
- tactical-level UAVs — 23,111 (+72);
- cruise missiles — 3,051;
- ships and boats — 28;
- submarines — 1;
- automotive vehicles and fuel tankers — 34,905 (+68);
- special equipment — 3,714 (+3).
Ukraine's losses
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on December 8, 2024, that 43,000 Ukrainian servicemen have died in the full-scale war against Russia. At the same time, there have been 370,000 cases of assistance provided to the wounded. According to Zelensky, 50% of the injured return to service.
